Description

The biggest bloat we have, our Ranch kit. This doesn’t come in some dinky 6 inch tall container, but instead, an 11 inch deep, thunder tub! Serious wormers only, because this tub is no joke; bloated with bedding and feed for 2,000 red wrigglers, enough room for maximum breeding, and plenty of space to stuff your table scraps to make a miniature composter! This kit is the fastest way to get some serious production started from your worms, and the quickest way to witness the benefits from worms!ranchkit

Worm Ranch Kit

This is the first order, but definitely not my last! Everything you need to get started and detailed instructions. My order arrived ahead of schedule. I am very pleased with the results, the worms are growing just as promised and I will soon need more bins.

Well Worth It

While it would be simple enough for someone to buy the bin, the bedding, and the rest of what's needed to start raising worms, I don't know that they'd save a lot doing it that way versus this turnkey setup. Plus, for those, like me, who have never raised worms before, this kit lets you know what's needed and how to go about it. My worms arrived healthy and happy, with big smiles on their faces. A couple of months later, they are doing fine and, although I don't know how many are there, I'm pretty sure I have more than I started with. For my second bin, I'll probably buy a bin and some bedding material because I don't need another starter set of worms and now, thanks to the Worm Ranch Kit, I know what is needed. This isn't the first time that I have made purchases from Uncle Jim's Worm Farm, as that's where I got the worms to start my two outdoor compost piles, which I started a few years ago, and they are thriving, as well.

Great worms.

Worms arrived in perfect condition. Kit was an adequate start for them. Once you set up your kit you will need to go a few steps further on your own. The worms will ball up and try to leave if you don’t give them a top dressing. Once you’ve set up your kit place a layer of dry leaves (from outdoors) on top of the bedding. There should be a dense enough layer to block light from the worms. Next place a piece of corrugated cardboard (cut to fit loosely inside the container) on to of the leaves. This is what made it a worm home! They settled right in and started eating.
