Our Jump Start formula is pH-balanced with premium organic ingredients like bat guano, kelp meal, alfalfa meal, and Humic acid, a naturally occurring organic material that is formed when organic matter decomposes. Garden tip: Use Jump Start on all new plantings, as well as cuttings and seeds. For individual plants, add 1-2 tablespoons to each plant. In rows, use 1 cup per 10 square feet of planting area. After 3 weeks, switch to a Happy Frog® fertilizer designed just for them, such as our Fruit & Flower or Tomato & Vegetable blends.
How to Use
NEW CONTAINER PLANTS:
Add 2 tablespoons of Happy Frog® Jump Start Fertilizer per gallon of soil. Fill container with mixture and set plant at appropriate height. Tamp soil gently to secure plant and water thoroughly. Begin a regular feeding schedule in three weeks with a blended Happy Frog® fertilizer specifically formulated for your plant’s needs.
NEW IN-GROUND PLANTINGS:
Mix 2 parts of your preferred FoxFarm soil conditioner with one part native soil. Add 2 tablespoons of Happy Frog® Jump Start Fertilizer per gallon of soil mixture. Fill hole while setting plant at correct height. Tamp soil gently to secure plant and water thoroughly. Begin a regular feeding schedule in three weeks with a blended Happy Frog® fertilizer specifically formulated for your plant’s needs.
NEW ROW PLANTINGS:
Prepare bed by mixing a 3-6″ layer of your preferred FoxFarm soil conditioner into existing soil with 1 cup Happy Frog® Jump Start Fertilizer per 10 square feet of planting area and mix thoroughly. Till to a depth of 8-12 inches. Place plant in ground at appropriate depth. Tamp soil gently to secure plant and water thoroughly.
