Bradfield Organics® Blood Meal fertilizer is an excellent source of readily available nitrogen and is thus an excellent food for nitrogen-needy plants such as lawns, corn, lettuce, and other garden greens. It can also be mixed into compost that has a high carbon content (shavings, straw, shredded twigs, etc.) to encourage faster, more complete and nutrient-balanced decomposition.

 DIRECTIONS

Lawns: 2.5 to 3.0 lbs per 100 square feet every 90 days during growing season.

Gardens: Mix 4 ounces per 10 square feet into topsoil prior to planting. Afterward, broadcast same amount every 90 days during growing season.

Note: Nitrogen-fixing plants such as peas, beans and other legumes do not require high-nitrogen fertilizer. Do not over-apply to new plantings, as relatively rapid nitrogen release may damage roots of tender seedlings.
